What is a subscription?

A subscription means that you will be charged every month and receive a box each time. If you opt for the 3-month to 6-month subscription, your subscription will auto-renew every new billing date. Which is usually exactly 3 months or 6 months after your original sign up date..

Our subscriptions renew automatically so that you don’t have to create a new subscription each month. If you ever need to cancel your subscription, you can do so in your account (or through paypal if you used that method) before your next billing date.


 

How much is shipping?

When is the cutoff to order next month’s box?

The 18th of the month is the last day to order that month’s box.

Orders close 11:50pm PST on the 18th of the month.

Can I purchase just one box?

You can now buy single boxes! Make your purchase in the same time frame as the subscription sign up date (meaning by the 18th of that month) to get that month’s box. 🙂 IE: If you order on May 18th you’d get May’s box. If you order on May 19th, you’d get June’s box.

You can also buy past box if you missed the cut off, by waiting for them to be added to the ‘past boxes’ page at the end of each month.

Boxes purchased from the ‘past boxes’ single box purchase page will be shipped out within 2-4 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) of ordering. 


If I forgot to cancel, can I return my box? 

It is in our policy that subscriptions must be canceled prior to the billing date or it will renew for another term (month, 3, or 6)

Once your subscription renews and your order has been processed, we are unable to cancel the order or accept a returned box for refund.

If you have a special circumstance, please write in to our team and we will be able to assess your situation and issue a refund if possible.


I don’t like my box, can I get my money back?

Our box contents are a surprise each month. As with blind box toys or gachapon, you cannot request a refund or an exchange if you do not like the contents of your box. Sorry about that.

You can however, reach out to us and let us know what you didn’t like, and what you items you’d like to see if you can think of any! We will gladly take your suggestions into consideration for future boxes.

We are always looking to improve our boxes so we appreciate constructive feedback!


Help! One of my items is broken/defective/missing!

While we do our best to check each and every item going into boxes, sometimes we do make mistakes. If this happened, please Email Us and let us know. We have limited quantities of inventory each month so missing or damaged items must be reported within 4 days of delivery.. Pictures are required. Replacement items will be shipped out in 1-2 weeks. If we don’t have items in stock we will find another solution.

Broken items such as cookies, candy, or other fragile snacks don’t qualify for replacement. Sorry about that.


My box was damaged:

Oh no! Are you missing items? Let us know as soon as possible so that we can look into it for you. Also please check with USPS and see if any notice was left.

If your package was damaged and items were as well, but you did not purchase insurance we will do our best to come up with a solution to help. Due to the low price of our box, insurance is not included automatically. Insurance can be purchased for the low price of $2 a box.

We advise that customers take photos as soon as they receive or open their box. This is especially important for damaged items so please do not discard your package before taking a photo. Sending a photo with your email will help me assess your case faster.

Any damages to the box or the packaging of a product will not qualify for replacement if the content is undamaged. Any problems must be reported within 4 days of delivery. With photos. 


My box is missing! Where is it?

Once a box shows as delivered, we ask that you please try contacting the USPS. Sometimes, packages get marked as delivered and take 3-4 extra business days (that’s Monday – Friday) to be delivered. This doesn’t happen often, but has a couple of times. If it still doesn’t show, or you are very worried let us know and we can file a missing package claim as soon as the USPS allows. If you live in a neighborhood where packages frequently go missing, please purchase the signature required add-on to have your package require a signature to be released. The cost for this is $2.35 a month. Alternatively, you can ask us to put on “Hold For Pickup” status, at no extra charge. Which will leave your package waiting at the post office for you to pick up, instead of leaving it unprotected. Another alternative is putting in a friend or family members address that may be safer to deliver packages to as your shipping address.


My package didn’t come to my address:

As the customer, you are in control of making sure we have the correct shipping address. We will ship to the address on file listed as the ship to address. If this is the wrong one, and the package is delivered there, there’s actually nothing we can do to get the package to you at this point. If the package gets sent back as undeliverable as addressed because of a bad address we will let you know. But you’ll need to pay the shipping fee to send it out to your correct address. Since shipping has been paid for by us once and isn’t refundable.  We’re sorry about this.


I emailed you and you didn’t get back to me? Why not?

Please understand that The CuteBox is a small business. If you email us at our 11:00 PM, and we don’t email back within 30 minutes, do not be alarmed. We will continue to do everything we can to answer your emails in a timely fashion. Please allow 48 hours during the weekdays for a response.
